Parish Council Acquires Jubilee Clinic
The Parish Council is delighted to confirm the purchase of the Jubilee Clinic on Pound Lane, which has been its home for several decades. With ownership now secured, the focus will shift to updating or rebuilding the building to better serve the community’s needs. During this time, the Parish Council has temporarily relocated to the Old Friends Hall in Sunnyside, off Caley Street.
To fund the purchase, the Parish Council has secured a 25-year loan from the Public Works Loan Board, now part of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities. The annual repayments will be approximately £1,500 more than the previous rent, allowing the costs to be covered within the existing budget without impacting the parish precept.
The Parish Council sincerely thanks the Jubilee Trust for making this significant milestone possible and looks forward to delivering enhanced services to the village in the future.
