Planning applications

While the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk is the Local Planning Authority responsible for deciding planning applications, Heacham Parish Council acts as a statutory consultee for all planning applications within the parish.

This means that the Parish Council reviews and provides comments on planning applications, reflecting the views of the community. While we do not make final decisions, our input helps ensure that local concerns and priorities are considered.

Furthermore with the adoption of the Heacham neighbourhood Plan in 2022 a planning spatial Strategy that empowers us to shape development and land use in our area, ensuring that future growth aligns with local needs and priorities while carrying legal weight in planning decisions.
